Resolve Software Group has evolved much over the last 25 years of its history. We like to think that a true testament to the quality of the culture within the organization is how long many of our team members have been with us. Rohan Nunn has just become one of a very small group that has been with the company for 20 years.

Company should focus on employees’ sense of belonging

A company that focuses on employees’ sense of belonging helps cultivate more diversity and inclusivity, writes Forbes contributor Dr. Pragya Agarwal. Rather than hiring people who “best fit” with the team, experts say recruiters shouldn’t shy away from candidates who bring in new ideas. An accepting workplace fuels more creativity and boosts productivity, as team members who embrace each other’s differences become more “resilient” as a whole. Some strategies for businesses to build an inclusive culture are storytelling workshops, conferences that talks about the company’s vision and social bonding as a priority.

Privacy invasion in the finance industry

Think twice about putting that round of cocktails on Instagram — your bank could be watching. That's according to researchers at the University of Melbourne, who argue we can increasingly expect our social media usage — and what it says about our spending habits — to be factored into decisions made by financial institutions, even if it’s not a realistic representation of our lifestyles. The researchers argue this monitoring is just "one example of the increased privacy invasion taking place in the finance industry".
